Case Study: Calm Candles Brand Identity & Go to Market strategy

Published by Hannah Crawford

Calm Candles London wanted a new brand identity for their range of 100% soy wax blend candles designed to aid relaxation and promote calmness.

The candle products are made from natural materials and needed to be strongly positioned as pure and clean in a scented candles market which is worth around £90 million annually in the UK.

Calm Candles London wanted a full ‘go to market’ strategy, starting with the development of a logo and branding for the products, packaging, point of sale materials for retailers and a full set of promotional campaign materials.

On selecting the preferred creative elements, a photoshoot would also be needed, as would a range of options for building brand visibility and awareness.

Method & Solution
C4B Media responded with a strategy document, a range of branding options and examples of how the branding could be applied to the products themselves as well as stationery, social media channels and sales pitches.

The Calm Candles London brand was then launched, and soon attracted attention from retailers as well as several salons and gift shops, with larger projects on the horizon.

Starting a new business is daunting, but having professional guidance is key. C4B are a friendly andknowledgeable team. I have worked closely with their Creative Designer and their Project Director, as well as their social media expert. They really have helped me ‘Calmly‘ through a process that is generally quite stressful. I would thoroughly recommend spending time with their team as their insight is priceless!
