What is the 2021 #C4BMediaPlanetPledge campaign?

This year we’re partnering with pure organic honey specialists Mama Buci who support over 7000 families in Zambia in producing their own honey using sustainable means.

Mama Buci provides the families with the hives, training and education needed to produce and sell delicious raw honey that has a positive impact on the environment. 

Our Planet Pledge for 2021: for every print job over £100, we will sponsor a top bar beehive.

By improving awareness and using special “top bar” beehives, Mama Buci has given Zambian families the opportunity to double their income while also making beekeeping more sustainable.

Bees are vital for everyone everywhere

Bees are among the world’s most important pollinators, and their work plays a part in every aspect of the ecosystem. They support the growth of trees, flowers and other plants which serve as food and shelter for creatures large and small.

Mama Buci combines protection for bees with support for families in Zambia, so we think it’s the perfect mix of humanitarian and environmental action to expand our #PlanetPledge. 

From trees to bees

Bees and other pollinators play a crucial role in the future of our economy, wellbeing and the fight against climate change. That’s why we’ve shifted our focus to these fuzzy, flying heroes.

The hives provided by Mama Buci don’t damage the trees they are attached to – unlike the traditional bark hives usually used in Zambia. This means they are far more sustainable and actually work to improve the nature in the area, rather than ruin it.
