An Evening of Cheese, Wine and Giving Back

C4B cheese and wine evening

Cheese & Wine Charity Evening at The Old School House in Royston, raises an impressive £863 for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

The event, which took place on the 5th December, was held as part of our commitment to the Arthur Rank Hospice Money Multiplier Challenge, a fundraising initiative designed to support the hospice’s vital work with individuals facing life-limiting illnesses.

The evening featured guided tastings of exceptional cheeses and wines, led by local businesses and specialists, The Honest Fig and Cambridge Wine Royston. Guests enjoyed a variety of pairings while learning about the craftsmanship behind the selections. Representatives from Arthur Rank Hospice, Sophie and Ellie, attended the event to share inspiring stories about the hospice’s work and the impact of fundraising efforts.

In addition to the tastings, the evening featured games and a raffle to contribute to the funds raised. We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the businesses that generously donated prizes: Kelly’s Kitchen, Hair By Natalie, Revolution Records, and Glazed Creations.

Sharon Grocott, Managing Director of C4B Media, said:

“Thank you to The Honest Fig, Cambridge Wine Royston, Arthur Rank Hospice and all the raffle donors for making the evening so special. It’s heartwarming to see the community come together to support such an incredible cause. The funds raised will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those the hospice supports.”

The Money Multiplier Challenge is a creative and competitive initiative that encourages local businesses to raise as much money as possible over three months. Each business starts with £50, provided by Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, and grows the sum through innovative fundraising activities.

C4B Media has a longstanding relationship with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, having supported the campaign with creative design, branding, and £500 in funding for participating businesses.

Ellie Weatherly, Corporate Partnerships Lead at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, said:

“C4B Media has supported Arthur Rank Hospice Charity for a few years now, and their incredible creativity never ceases to surprise me – in the designs they create for us and in their fundraising initiatives! The Cheese and Wine night was no different. It was such a lovely event, with touching stories shared, amazing cheese and wine from The Honest Fig and Cambridge Wine Royston and fun games. The £863 will go a long way to ensuring we can continue to care for patients at the end of their lives or with life-limiting conditions, thank you, C4B!”

Our fundraising efforts, including the Cheese & Wine Evening, contribute to the hospice’s essential care for individuals and families in Cambridgeshire. We plan to continue supporting the challenge with future events and initiatives. Details, when available, will be shared on our social media.
