10 years of C4B Media: But we couldn’t have done it without Julia

We pay tribute to C4B Media co-founder Julia Brooks

As the directors, staff and associates of C4B Media celebrate reaching our 10th birthday, it’s worth remembering the enormous contribution of one of our co-founders, Julia Brooks.

Julia’s ‘rarely seen zest for life’ propelled us relentlessly forward, from when the agency was founded in 2013, through to 2022 when she passed away following a brave battle with cancer, at the age of just 57.

Without her, C4B Media would not have achieved the success, profile and status it has as one of North Hertfordshire’s leading creative, digital and marketing agencies.

The former Chair of Royston Chamber of Commerce was not without a high business profile herself.

As organiser of Royston Business awards, founder of networking group Coffee & Connect, BID Facilitator for Royston First – to name just a few – Julia was an energetic driving force not just for C4B Media, but for causes and initiatives which she passionately believed in.

Clients called Julia “extremely motivated and eager to succeed” and commented that she “simply made things happen”.

A co-founder of C4B Media, Julia quickly became the matriarch for all the team. She was a bright, effervescent, kind and caring soul, and was described by colleagues as “an absolute force of nature to work with”.

In her earlier years, Julia worked at Addenbrookes Hospital for over 20 years managing a large team, many of whom have echoed these statements.

She always did everything with a huge smile, masses of determination and a fiercely competitive spirit. Through her family, friends, work, and the projects she was involved in locally, she touched many people’s lives and was thought of very highly by all that knew her.

We miss our dear friend and colleague Julia very much.

Donations in her memory are welcome to Arthur Rank Hospice at Home, who provided valuable care and support for Julia and her family in her final weeks at home.

Arthur Rank Hospice is C4B’s chosen charity of the year in 2023.
