We are currently nearing the end of a 6-month stint providing outsourced marketing services for a long-term client of ours – Equisys.
Ahead of a particularly intense period of committed marketing activity, Equisys realised they needed additional marketing resource, that could be up and running almost immediately and with the skills and the experience to deliver a range of activities to the highest level of quality.
Knowing C4B Media could provide outsourced marketing department services, Sales & Marketing Director Paul Crawley approached C4B Media with a request to step in.
First job: Make these trade shows work!
A vital component of the existing marketing plan was the delivery of two high profile trade shows, where an Equisys presence had been planned and booked to promote the new Zetadocs Expenses solution – and for which hard deadlines existed.
As anyone who has organised a successful corporate tradeshow presence knows, strongly branded marketing is critical before, during and after the event in order to maximise ROI.
The Microsoft-focussed tradeshows at which Equisys had booked its presence were taking place in the USA and Europe, so planning communications and liaising with organisers needed to take time differences – as well as deadlines – into account.
Tradeshow marketing can involve any or all marketing disciplines, and these two events were no different. C4B Media employed:
- Email marketing and PR in the run up to the events
- Social Media in the run up, during and post events
- Design of stand, banners/posters, on-stand collateral and giveways
- Advertising and messaging around the presentation slots at which Equisys was speaking
Alongside the tradeshow marketing and preparations, the normal ‘run rate’ product communications activities also needed to be managed.
C4B Media also took on management of social media and email campaigns to drive signups to webinars, regularly attracting registrations beyond target expectation.
Keeping the marketing moving
Equisys promotes its software solutions to both end-users and UK and international channel partners, and C4B Media were tasked with ensuring these communications were written, designed and delivered to plan.
The promotional campaigns planned and executed by C4B Media included monthly email newsletters, emails to promote special events including partner days, sales incentives and rewards and online product demonstrations, all backed up by social media and blogs for the website.
