C4B Media Steps into Outsourced Marketing Department Role for Equisys

We are currently nearing the end of a 6-month stint providing outsourced marketing services for a long-term client of ours – Equisys.

Ahead of a particularly intense period of committed marketing activity, Equisys realised they needed additional marketing resource, that could be up and running almost immediately and with the skills and the experience to deliver a range of activities to the highest level of quality.

Knowing C4B Media could provide outsourced marketing department services, Sales & Marketing Director Paul Crawley approached C4B Media with a request to step in.

First job: Make these trade shows work!

exhibitionA vital component of the existing marketing plan was the delivery of two high profile trade shows, where an Equisys presence had been planned and booked to promote the new Zetadocs Expenses solution – and for which hard deadlines existed.

As anyone who has organised a successful corporate tradeshow presence knows, strongly branded marketing is critical before, during and after the event in order to maximise ROI.

The Microsoft-focussed tradeshows at which Equisys had booked its presence were taking place in the USA and Europe, so planning communications and liaising with organisers needed to take time differences – as well as deadlines – into account.

Tradeshow marketing can involve any or all marketing disciplines, and these two events were no different. C4B Media employed:

  • Email marketing and PR in the run up to the events
  • Social Media in the run up, during and post events
  • Design of stand, banners/posters, on-stand collateral and giveways
  • Advertising and messaging around the presentation slots at which Equisys was speaking

Alongside the tradeshow marketing and preparations, the normal ‘run rate’ product communications activities also needed to be managed.

C4B Media also took on management of social media and email campaigns to drive signups to webinars, regularly attracting registrations beyond target expectation.

Keeping the marketing moving

rewardsEquisys promotes its software solutions to both end-users and UK and international channel partners, and C4B Media were tasked with ensuring these communications were written, designed and delivered to plan.

The promotional campaigns planned and executed by C4B Media included monthly email newsletters, emails to promote special events including partner days, sales incentives and rewards and online product demonstrations, all backed up by social media and blogs for the website.

A few words from the client…

Paul Crawley, Equisys Sales and Marketing Director says of the service provided:

“C4B Media stepped into assist us at short notice, and at a very critical phase. With a new product just launched to our end user customers and sales channels around the world, we needed solid, dependable marketing expertise in all disciplines to push our strategy forward.

More on C4B Media’s outsourced marketing services

Here at C4B Media a significant proportion of of our fees comes from “outsourced marketing services”.

That is, companies outsource all or parts of their marketing planning and management to C4B Media.

The reason they do this is that above all else we are marketing experts. Our business is essentially a marketing department, which comprises all of the key individual marketing disciplines that you would expect to find in many businesses.

The single factor that underpins all of these individual services is decades of shared marketing experience and expertise that has been built up by our staff on the front line of marketing.

Expertise working not only for London agencies, but also for real businesses where the marketing budget must be made to work, where results matter and where the bottom line is ROI.

Businesses like yours.

What sort of services?

  • Design and branding
  • Website design and development
  • Content and copywriting – ideal for brochures, blogs and websites
  • Marketing strategy, planning and management
  • PR and communications – including email marketing, newsletters and press releases
  • The list goes on

What sort of clients?

Often the sorts of clients that outsource their marketing to us have no staff with the term “marketing” in their job title. Which means that one of our team becomes a ‘virtual marketing director’ for those clients and usually reports to the MD, CEO or Board.

For others, we provide work for an incumbent marketing manager or marketing director, who for whatever reason wants access to the services we provide, but wants to plan the strategy internally.

And for yet other clients, we may provide only certain discreet marketing services, such as content creation or design – because the economics of doing so are so much more compelling when outsourced.

If you need virtual or outsourced marketing department services please speak to C4B Media by calling us on  01223 750236 or 01763 877110 or emailing hello@c4bmedia.com
