The League of Extraordinary Experts – A fun campaign with serious results.

We live in confusing times.

Rapid change, new technologies and global events can sometimes make us feel disconnected from the people and businesses around us.

In personal and business life, especially in times of uncertainty, people tend to stick to what they know in order to maintain a sense of stability.

Sometimes, we need a bit of help to break free from conventional and established perceptions and to bring about a shift in thinking.

The Challenge

Marketing and creative agencies like C4B can often be seen by the wider market as providing a single service or solution.

Perceptions of an agency – once formed – may remain static, so that impressions once created may be difficult to change. Often, we are perceived as a provider of the last service delivered, be that a new website, a design project, a creative marketing campaign or a strategy workshop.

With our campaign, we wanted to shift this perception of our agency by showcasing the expertise and experience of our individual team members.

We wanted to emphasise the rich range of skills we offer in different departments, as well as our wider abilities as a ‘marketing agency’.

The Solution

Our solution for prospective clients was to humanise our brand, helping them to see us for the full suite of marketing solutions our individual team members can offer.

The aim for existing clients, was to remind them of the breadth of skills our team could offer beyond those they already used. 

The Idea

Our Creative Team found themselves inspired by the thrill of Ocean’s Eleven. Understanding the huge role of theatre and spectacle in advertising, the aim was to conjure up some of the emotions that viewers felt when watching the film: excitement, humour and confidence delivery of the desired result is assured!

The League of Extraordinary Experts campaign was born. This campaign wasn’t just about showcasing our services – it was about harnessing a sense of fun in creative marketing.

Ultimately, we wanted to step outside our comfort zone, redefine the expectations our clients should have of us and challenge them to redefine their marketing strategies.

Execution

Our campaign unfolded like a well-orchestrated heist movie:

  1. Email Blitz: We sent tailored emails to showcase the skills of our expert team of digital marketers, strategists and creatives in an informative and entertaining way.

  2. Social Media Surge: Our social platforms fizzed and buzzed to promote the campaign, showcasing the team and inspire our audience into action.

  3. Mailer Magic: Physical mailers added more tangibility, making our message impossible to ignore.

The Impact

The results were nothing short of a box-office hit:
