Royston First is a Business Improvement District (BID) which was introduced to support the delivery of initiatives locally, beneficial to the business community.
As part of our brief, we were tasked with marketing four free family events that occur in the town throughout the year. All the events are themed and in a “town trail” format. The objective is to increase footfall into the town.
The scope of the project included:
- Event staff management
- Developing a marketing strategy for each event
- Creating all the marketing collateral
- Communicating with local businesses
- Liaising with the press
- Promoting the event in the local area including all the schools
The first Xmas trail had 150 children participating which increased to over 450 children with marketing from C4B. This potentially increased the footfall into the town on that particular day to around 1000 people.
